FERRARI

2011 Ferrari 458 Italia GT2

Now that a GT version of the Ferrari 458 Italia is expected to take the reigns from the Ferrari 430 GT in the upcoming ALMS season, a lot of people in the automotive and racing industry have been waiting for quite some time to see a glimpse of the GT-spec 458 Italia in action. Jon Sibal even gave us a very detailed rendering of what he thought the 458 GT would look like when Ferrari finally lifts the covers off of the race car.

2010 Ferrari F430 Veilside Premier 4509

While most tuners are focusing on the new Ferrari 458 Italia, Premier 4509 is looking to bring inspiration towards an older model. The Japanese tuner has previously unveiled a Veilside tuning kit for the old F430 and now Wheels Boutique has upgraded that very same model with, wait for it, a new set of wheels. The full package will still be limited to just 300 units.

Typically, we tend to believe that Ferrari models are just about perfect straight from the factory, and that any changes made by any experienced tuners would strip away the beauty of the vehicle. Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule and today’s exception comes in the form of a Ferrari 458 Italia tuned by the very same guys that brought us the modified F430 earlier. Wheelsandmore have taken the Italian sports car and have done what they do best: add just a little something to spice it up.

Wheelsandmore’s focus has shifted from Mercedes SLR and SLS AMG to a brand with a bit more speed: Ferrari. For the Maranello-based automaker, the German tuner has chosen the F430 to dazzle us with their exterior mods and engine updates.

2000 Ferrari 550 Barchetta GTZ

The idea of developing a unique Ferrari 550 GTZ begun when Yoshiyuki Hayashi, the famous Japanese collector, asked for a special body for his Ferrari 575M, in the style of the famous 250GTZ Berlinetta of 1956. When Zagato received his request they informed Ferrari of the project, and they considered it an ideal opportunity to celebrate that model’s 50th anniversary. This chain of events is what led to the creation of a Ferrari that harkens back to the 250GTZ with aFerrari 575 base. The car was great as a coupe model, but Zagato wanted to create a special roadster version, and so they did.

2010 Ferrari California

About a week ago, we introduced a special edition BMW Z4 Silver Top Editionthat’s being exclusively made for the Japanese market. Turns out, that isn’t the only special edition sports car that’s making its way to Japan, leading us to wonder why they always seem to get first dibs on limited-run cars. It’s not exactly fair, is it?

2012 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti

The history of the 612 Scaglietti started in 2004 when Ferrari chose it as a successor for the smaller 456 M. It was designed as a 4 seater gran tourer with adequate space in the rear seats for adults. But, if we’re going to be honest, the 612 Scaglietti features the most out-dated design in all of the current Ferrari line-up.

In its standard version, the Ferrari California’s V8 engine develops a total of 460 HP. Now, in true tuner fashion, Anderson Germany has increased the engine’s power by a total of 55 HP (to a total of 515 HP). To achieve that increase, the tuner reprogrammed the ECU and added a valve controlled stainless steel exhaust system. Unfortunately, the tuner did not release any details on how these changes affected the vehicle’s performance.

2010 Ferrari California Bi-Colore

Ferrari will unveil a special edition California at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 2-4, 2010. Following the tradition of the Berlinettas of the 1950s and 1960s, the new California Bi-Colore will feature a “bi-colore” roof, with the car painted in Argento Nurburgring (metallic silver) with the roof and A-pillar painted in Nero (black).

         2010 Ferrari 458 Italia Nighthawk

The Ferrari 458 Italia is no doubt the most amazing car out there. Of course, with the right work, it can get even better. The guys from Cam-Shaft, Germany transformed the 458 into a real bullet. The car was made on request.

The Japanese are more than just sake and sushi; they know their way around cars too. And not just the Japanese ones, but as evidenced by Japanese tuner Premier 4509’s tuning package for the Ferrari F430, they know how upgrade an Italian sports car too.
