2011 Jaguar XFR Stratstone Le Mans




Owning a Jaguar carries with it an exclusivity all by itself, but when you own a special limited edition Jaguar, then the exclusivity mark jumps up another 100 notches. Well, Jaguar enthusiasts, get ready to claw your way to that type of distinctiveness. Jaguar teamed up with UK’s leading luxury automotive retailer, Stratstone, to unveil the special edition XFR Stratstone Le Mans, limited to only 50 units. Pricing for the luxury vehicle has yet to be announced, but what we do know is that Jaguar will be supporting the Royal British Legion with a donation of £5,000 from the sales of the Stratstone Le Mans model.

Jaguar unveiled the special edition XKR 75 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed to mark the company’s 75th anniversary. This celebratory model is equipped with a 5.0-liter supercharged engine that delivers 530 HP and 655 Nm of torque, but the German tuner, Arden, is giving Jaguar XKR 75 owners a little more to celebrate about with modification for the model.

Jaguar Australia has unveiled a special edition XK Coupe that celebrates not only Jaguar’s 75th Anniversary, but also Jaguar’s historic return to Le Mans next weekend. Sales will begin at the end of June and there will only be 10 units produced, each priced at $193,500 plus on-road costs.

We’ve seen Jaguar’s modern day interpretation of the classic E-type sports carbefore, and although it looked a lot like the latest member of the Top Speed test fleet, she was a feline of a completely different nature. That is because our Liquid Silver Jaguar XK convertible is powered by the now Indian automaker’s all new 5.0 Liter V8 that makes a total of 385 HP and 380 lb-ft of torque propelling the drop top sports coupe from 0 to 60 MPH in only 5.2 seconds while returning as much as 22 MPG on the highway.

The second special edition to be unveiled by Jaguar in Geneva will be the 2009 XJ Portfolio, a model that will also go on sale starting summer 2008.
The XJ Portfolio will be powered by a 4.2-liter V8 supercharged (400bhp SAE) or the naturally aspirated V8 engine. In either derivative, the XJ Portfolio offers effortless performance and exceptional refinement.
