ASTON MARTIN

2011 Aston Martin DB9 Morning Frost

The next special edition Aston Martin DB9 to come out of Warwickshire is about a 180 degree turn from the dark and mysterious ride revealed earlier. It’s called Morning Frost and, unlike the Carbon Black edition, combines a pearlescent white exterior with a befitting metallic bronze leather interior.

For Aston Martin, 2010 has been the year of special editions, and what better way to finish it off then by adding a few more to the mix? The first of them is called the DB9 Carbon Black and, as you’ve probably already guessed, the special edition is covered in black inside and out.

2010 Aston Martin Rapide

Aston Martin will return to the legendary Nurburgring 24-hour race on May 15th-16th, 2010 with a racing version of their latest sedan. The Rapide will compete in near-standard specification apart from mandatory changes required to compete in this most demanding of endurance races and will be driven by a team of engineers from the company’s Gaydon headquarters in Warwickshire, England.

         2013 Aston Martin Lagonda

When Porsche created the Cayenne there was a massive uproar from thePorsche faithful. They found this new SUV to an abomination of what a proper Porsche, a 911 in their minds, should be. Yet, despite all the hate, the Cayenne was a huge success.

2010 Aston Martin V8 Vantage

Now this is how you tune an Aston Martin. By itself, an Aston Martin V8 Vantageis already one of the most beautiful cars in the world. But if you put one of the most noted supercar tuners in the country to work, they can turn an already eye-catching ride into a jaw-dropping piece of machinery.

2010 Aston Martin Rapide

After three years of waiting for the Aston Martin Rapide’s arrival, most of us were pretty impressed with the car’s sleek, proportioned look. The English coach builder put a lot of thought into the lines and dimensions of the car that would make everyone forget about the 4-door Lagonda that was the saloon for Aston Martin during the mid-seventies to late-eighties. Of course, not everyone could appreciate the new 4 door just as it was and that is why Cargraphic has merely whispered a few changes into the Rapide to tweak its near-perfect status.

2009 Aston Martin V12 Vantage N24

If Aston Martin is going to install its largest engine in its smallest car, then of course it will the car racing. The Aston Martin V12 Vantage got a few minor tweaks to get ready for the Nürburgring 24 hour race on May 23 and 24. Aston says the V12 Vantage race car will be close to production model, with only essential safety modifications, reduced weight and re-tuned suspension. The car has not had any additional aerodynamic enhancements.

2009 Aston Martin LMP1 Car

Aston Martin won the GT1 class in the 2007 and 2008 24 Hours of Le Mans races with the DBR9, and now Aston has set its sights higher this year. It’s abandoning the GT1 class to focus its efforts on the faster LMP1 class and the overall win.

2008 Aston Martin V8 GT

The Aston Martin V8 GT Concept was designed by Adam Gompertz. The sketch development concentrated on keeping certain elements of the V8 Vantage, namely the side strake that run through the bodyside, and the rear bumper surface. Yet at the same time, there was a real desire to create a new identity, with harder edges, and more muscular forms. The V8 GT Concept is inspired by old models from Aston Martin, such as the DB3S and the DB4 GT Zagato.

2008 Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 Gulf

Aston Martin Racing will return to Le Mans in 2008 to defend its GT1 title in the distinctive blue and orange livery of Gulf Oil. Two Aston Martin DBR9s will look to emulate Gulf’s first victory at the 24 hour race 40 years on.

2008 Aston Martin Vantage GT2

Aston Martin Racing has revealed the first impressions of its new GT2 racing car. Known as the Vantage GT2, the new car is based on the V8 engined Aston Martin Vantage road car. The new car will mean Aston Martin is the only manufacturer to offer cars in every GT racing category: GT1 – DBR9; GT2 - Vantage GT2; GT3 – DBRS9; GT4 – Vantage N24.

2009 Aston Martin Rapide

After Prodrive got in charge over the Aston Martin company they have announced big plans for the future. One of them is to put into production the Rapide Concept that was unveiled in 2006 at the North American International Auto Show. The Rapide will go into production in 2009 and will compete with the Porsche Panamera, Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class and Maserati Quattroport

The Aston Martin Bulldog, styled by William Towns, was a one-off testbed vehicle produced by Aston Martin in 1979. Originally, it had been intended to be a limited run of about 25.

The exhilaration of speed or, as some might put it, “the need for speed” is more deep-seated in England than almost anywhere else on earth. Even the legendary engineer George Stephenson named one of his first locomotives “The Rocket”. The fascinating unit of horsepower (HP) also has its origins in the era of the steam engine; it managed to establish itself as the reference standard for the car in general language usage over the more banal unit of “kW”.
